Citroen Killing It In WTCC

Citroen's success in the FIA World Touring Car Championship continued with pole position a double win and two fastest laps when the WTCC stopped off at the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife on Saturday.

And in another boost for the French squad, Chairman of the Managing Board of PSA Peugeot Citroen, Carlos Tavares, was trackside to watch the action before getting a high-speed of the 25.378-kilometre track in a Citroen C-Elysee WTCC two-seater chauffeured by double winner and world championship leader Jose María López.

Citroën's dominant German weekend means it is now third in the all-time list of WTCC wins with its new total of 44 putting it ahead of SEAT. It is also now equal on fastest laps with the Spanish make and one point behind when it comes to the pole position count.
